  • Lorraine Delic

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I have always loved cursive handwriting, which I was taught at school, many, many years ago. I have always loved different calligraphy styles and thought I would give them a go. I love crafts and recently started making wax seal gift cards so thought learning calligraphy would be good”
  • Crystal Paul

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I have always been obsessed with hand lettering and the different ways to letter. I Iove to watch videos of writing as it is so satisfying. I decided to give it a try. I also love to use a planner and I’m hoping to incorporate this into my planner.”
  • Anna Davies

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I make my own cards for friends and family, usually from watercolour paintings I have done, and then scanned / photographed and printed to the required card size. So I am hoping to use my calligraphy and lettering skills to write the sentiments and good wishes in these cards, so that it is all personally done by me. ( Until now I have either printed or bought ready-made texts. ) I have done a lettering course before, but I have let my practice lapse, and wanted something to get me back into things, and refresh my memory.”
  • Betsy Myles

“Things have been kind of rough lately, and I thought it would be nice to have a new outlet for creative energy that would be relaxed and gentle enough to not just add more stress.”
  • Andy Belk

“I did some Blackletter calligraphy some 50 years ago with a paint brush and just decided to get back into calligraphy to relax. The encouragement and help in this community is wonderful, helps a lot.”
  • Jamie Thompson

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I’ve had a rough few years, and there have been a lot of changes in my life.

Calligraphy is something I’ve always been interested in and I’ve made a few attempts in the past. I’ve been poking around all corners of the internet and buying supplies for a few months now, but I just couldn’t decide on what to start with.

When I started getting the Skool emails it piqued my interest after a while, and I decided it seemed like a easier way to start. I didn’t need a specific tool or paper beyond a pen, and it would be a good starting off point.

I’ve had a lovely weekend playing with pens and colors, and I’m only a little sore from it.”
  • Elisa Cianchi

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I want to learn calligraphy, and I need a "structured" way of doing it!!😅”
  • Marlee Doney

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I have always loved the look of calligraphy, but not always had the time or patience to try, so that was the motivation. I understand the need for practice and do practice, but it is nice to see results so quickly with "Skool". The sense of accomplishment keeps me coming back and actually practicing more.🤩”

“I have taken online classes with Jillian & Jordan and absolutely loved their teaching styles. I'm taking this course to give me ideas on words to write and make them different. I practice with traing paper and then freehand the same words to learn. I'm also writing words on rocks to inspire those who look at them.”

  • Éva Raposa

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I feel like I come the most alive when I'm creating, and with writing in this way, it's fun because I'm both turned ON (fully alive) and turned OFF (meditative state) at the same time. Just in the flow.

I'm also reviving a piece of my childhood where this was special to me, to create calligraphy gifts for my mom in particular. I never took any classes, though, just followed along with somewhat boring books. I think I started WAY back when with a "calligraphy kit" and remember getting ink all over my hands from the nibs!!”
  • Anna Osman

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I took a calligraphy class last year as a birthday gift and thoroughly enjoy it. I do it daily and love it so much. I joined as I'm stuck on ideas and need to unlock my creative side as well as improve my skill”
  • Ann Pettigrew

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    “Just to relax and play.”
  • Patricia Kopay

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I joined for a number of reasons. I have taken Copperplate calligraphy beginner classes, and really love the style, but the dip pen was challenging for me. I watched videos of these classes and loved the flow of using these markers. I wanted to try it, and I'm glad I did. It is relaxing, and I'd love to have ideas to continue to do projects with calligraphy.”
  • Barbara Glenewinkel

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I joined because I have wanted to learn calligraphy for years, and I struggled to find the time or commitment. I’m hoping this easier version in small bites will be just the ticket for me. I mostly want to add beautiful writing to cards and art that I create without fearing I will ruin the piece at the end because I don’t really know what I’m doing.”
  • Melinda Creps

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I need something relaxing and something a bit frustrating... 😉”
  • Sharon Mills

“I wanted some more structure (and a little less thinking!) for my practice. Really enjoying the worksheets—I can practice calligraphy and be in the same room as my husband watching Gunsmoke reruns!”
  • Allison Ipson

“I'm a graphic designer who recently started working remotely and needed a way to get my creative juices flowing before work. This seemed like a fun way to do that!”
